- Wheaton is committed to providing the necessary need-based financial assistance so that students can attend. Last year’s awards included over $12 million in grants and scholarships and over $5.7 million in loans. Out of 124 colleges classified with Wheaton in the top two tiers of National Liberal Arts Colleges in U.S. News & World Report’s Annual Best Colleges, Wheaton’s tuition ranks 108th (with “1” being the most expensive). Fifty-five percent of students graduating in the class of 2008 received student loans with an average indebtedness of $20,349 upon graduation.
